On behalf of the more than 300 members of Gamma Rho Omega, it is my distinct honor and pleasure to greet you. We are delighted that you have taken the time to visit our online home and learn more about who we are and how we serve.
Founded on January 15, 1908, on the campus of Howard University, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® is the first Greek-letter organization established by African American college-educated women. For more than a century, our sisterhood has remained steadfast in its commitment to service, scholarship, sisterhood, and the empowerment of communities locally and globally. Guided by our rich legacy and our international programs, we continue to uphold the vision of our Founders through impactful initiatives and meaningful community partnerships.
The Gamma Rho Omega Chapter was founded on June 23, 1942, and proudly carries this legacy forward through innovative programming, collaborative service efforts, and intentional sisterhood. We are committed to enhancing the quality of life in the communities we serve while fostering lifelong bonds among our members.
